Junior rider Pete Johnstone has taken out the Rob Vernon Memorial after a well timed sprint over David Pell and Shaun Mcarthy.

Johnstone, who is a member of the VIS, was the only rider off the 6 minute group to finish in the top 10. A noted sprinter, Johnstone timed his sprint to perfection to easily out-sprint the more experienced Pell and Mcarthy.
