Six riders fronted up in cold conditions for a 14km handicap, Robert Oakenfull and Brae Mapson rode from scratch giving Charles Bate 8 min start with a group of three riders in the middle at 4 min. Charles Bate took full advantage of his start to ride the circuit by himself and to greet the judge with only 30 sec to spare, Robert Oakenfull powered away from Brae Mapson on the last hill to take fastest time and second place with Brae Mapson coming in third, Alexander Evans, Julien Thomson and Archie Bate rode well to complete the course in very good times.
21 riders braved the cold conditions for a 28km handicap, young Madison Leske set off with a lead of 20min to scratch, the scratch bunch of Micah Leske,Josh Tepper, Sam Conder and George Tansley worked well together for the first lap, George Tansley and Josh Tepper jumped across the gap to pickup Justin Kennedy,Siebrin Allen and Michael Rice.
At the front of the race Joe Flood, Sam Crome and Imogen Jelbart were keeping the pressure on and had picked up the limit riders with about 5km to go, climbing the last incline the scratch riders had Issac Lee and Toni Abbisogni in their sights and then settled down to try a catch the leaders.
Joseph Flood had too much power at the finish, taking the sprint from Sam Crome, Imogen Jelbart battled on for third place. Kylie Payne rode well for fourth, then the scrarch pair of Josh Tepper and George Tansley finished fifth and sixth, Sam Verlin showed she is getting back to form with a good ride for seventh place.
