After the recent storms that swept New South Wales, the only light of hope was from the 80 riders who competed on the weekend in the Tamworth 2 day junior tour. Riders from all across New South Wales verged on the country capital of Australia to compete in the 2 road stages and time trial. The sponsors Workforce International, Country Energy, Tamworth Regional Council, McDonalds and Powerade contributed to help the tour run succsefully even if conditions weren’t as good as they could be.

In the main event, young Ipswich rider Thomas Richards took out the event of Port Maquarie star Lachlan Morton. Morton is using the tour to build up for a trip to America with the Real Aussie Kids Development Team. Australian champion Scott Law placed third after the gruelling three stages.

In the women’s feature event, multiple Australian champion Megan Dunn proved to be nearly un-beatable by taking the overall win over Balmoral’s Brodie Stewert and Georgie Geeves.

Other winners included Pieden Tefler, Michael Docker, Alexandria Nicholls, Jackson Law and Claire Sheridan.
